Full-time international students

All international students who are studying on a full-time basis in CIT should follow the standard advice that CIT is issuing on a regular basis to all of its students.

We are asking all full-time international students not to travel during the holiday period. Where bookings have already been made and not refundable the Institute will reimburse reasonable costs.

We advise international students to check the FAQ section, which is updated regularly and can be found here: https://international.cit.ie/covid-19-faq

Erasmus students

Students who are currently studying in CIT under the Erasmus programme are advised to contact their home institutions for advice in relation to whether they should remain in Ireland or travel back to their home countries. Erasmus students who choose to travel home should notify the CIT International Office of their decisions by email to international@cit.ie. Erasmus students who chose to continue with their studies in CIT should follow the standard advice that CIT is issuing on a regular basis to all of its students.

Study and Protect insurance policy

For Non-EU students who have taken out the ODON Study and Protect insurance product, please be assured that the insurers will cover hospital claims arising from Covid-19. Please note under the standard/superior medical insurance policy there is an excess of €50-€100, which means students are responsible for the first €50-€100, depending on which policy they have purchased. Anything after this amount is covered by the insurers.

All students can visit the Chubb website Chubb website for further details on how to make claims.
