Step 1
To get a Microsoft Team set up for your department, fill out this Form or email servicedesk@cit.ie with
the name of your department and a member list (if there is a distribution group
with all the names that will do).
Step 2 (optional)
Transfer your files into Microsoft Teams/SharePoint. To do this, navigate using the Windows file explorer to where the files are located:
Open the MS Teams app and select the channel you would like to move the files to. Click on the Files tab in the channel to open the file section:
Select any files you would like to move (e.g. by clicking and dragging a box around them):
Click, drag and drop the selected files from the file explorer to the Files section in Teams:
The files will be copied into Team:
To view/edit the files within SharePoint, click Open in SharePoint:
